Protecting Chinese Muslim Rights
Standing against injustice. Defending dignity, equality, and basic human rights for Chinese Muslims worldwide.
Unfair treatment and discrimination still exist — often unseen, often unheard.
We believe awareness is the first step toward change.
Join us in bringing attention to these issues, amplifying voices that are overlooked, and pushing for a more just and equal world.
Who We Are
China Muslim Human Rights Watch (CMHRW) was founded in 2019 in New York as an independent, nonprofit organization focused on protecting the rights of Chinese Muslims worldwide.
Our work centers on real, ongoing issues — including racial discrimination, restrictions on freedom of religion, and unequal treatment in education, employment, and public life.
We aim to document these concerns, bring them to international attention, and support individuals and communities facing unfair treatment. Many of these issues remain underreported or overlooked, which is why raising awareness is a critical part of our mission.
We collaborate with legal experts, researchers, and community members to ensure that these challenges are not ignored, and that those affected are seen, heard, and taken seriously.
Our goal is simple:
to promote fairness, protect basic freedoms, and push for a world where no one is disadvantaged because of their identity or beliefs.

Our Mission
We focus on addressing real-world inequalities — from racial discrimination to restrictions on religious freedom — through awareness, support, and action.
Advocacy
We document cases, raise awareness, and engage with the international community on issues such as racial inequality and limitations on freedom of belief.
By bringing attention to underreported realities, we aim to encourage accountability and promote meaningful change.
Support
Providing practical support to individuals and communities facing discrimination, legal uncertainty, or social exclusion.
This includes guidance, access to resources, and connections to legal and social support networks where possible.
